Bollywood actor Salman Khan on Thursday failed to appear before a local court in Rajasthan for hearing in the Arms Act case.
Salman’s lawyer cited health reasons for his absence from the court hearing.
“In context of illegal hunting, Salman Khan was asked to appear before the court but could not appear due to health issues. We had submitted plea of attendance apology on his behalf. The court has accepted our plea and has asked him to appear on April 29 to record his statements,” said lawyer Hastimal Saraswat.
The actor was summoned by the court to record his statement in the case, which is an offshoot of the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.
His sister Alvira was present in the court for the hearing.
The actor is also under trial for allegedly killing a person sleeping on a pavement in Mumbai while driving drunk in 2002. He has denied being at the wheel. (ANI)
