Salman doesn’t need advice on kids, he is intelligent: Farah

Mumbai: Filmmaker Farah Khan says she does not need to give any advice to Salman Khan on having kids as the superstar is highly intelligent.

Farah, who gave birth to triplets through In-vitro fertilisation (IVF), was attending a special event of Jaslok Hospital to spread awareness about IVF and surrogacy.

When asked what advice he would like to give the 50-year-old “Dabangg” star, who is fond of kids, Farah quipped, “Salman is very good as he is. He doesn’t need (any advice). He can advise everybody. We don’t need to advise him. He is far more successful and intelligent than all of us put together.”

The “Om Shanti Om” director, who has two daughters and a son, said the technique of having children through IVF and surrogacy is a blessing.

“I am not an actress, I had babies at the age of 43 because sometimes you get so caught up, you are making your life, building your career and may be you don’t want to get married… For me, to have IVF and someone guiding me like doctor Firuza Parikh it was a god send,” she said.

“Later in life there should not be any regrets. Sometimes you have children too early and regret it, ‘If I wouldn’t have, my career would have been different’ and sometimes when you don’t have, you miss that opportunity,” Farah said.

The 51-year-old “Happy New Year” helmer said she is proud she has children through IVF.

“It is important that we come forward and take pride in this because it gives so much courage and so much hope to people who want to do it, but are scared to do it. I proudly say that my children are from IVF and no, a pizza man did not deliver you,” she said.

Actor Tusshar Kapoor recently became a single father of a baby boy who was born through IVF and surrogacy, in June this year.

Prior to that, superstars like Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan also had children through surrogacy.
