Hyderabad: Chairman of Telangana State Wakf Board, Mr. Mohammed Saleem visited Masjid-e-Ek Khana, located at Amberpet which was dismantled by GHMC Officials for road widening.
Mr. Saleem offered to bear all the expenses for the reconstruction of the masjid at the same place. On the occasion of his visit, police officials and local residents were present.
Later, talking to newsmen, Mr. Saleem told that this masjid is a wakf property and TS Wakf Board has all the relevant records. He reviewed the work pertaining to cleaning of debris and erection of temporary sheds. He mentioned that GHMC officials dismantled the masjid setting aside the letter which was sent by TS Wakf Board sometime back. He assured that a complaint would be lodged with the police. He applauded the efforts of local residents who informed him on time.
Later, Mr. Saleem talked to ACP and Inspector of Police and requested them to extend their cooperation for offering namaz in the masjid.
He further told that CM of TS, Mr. KCR respects all the religions. He does not hurt the sentiments of any section of society. He assured that the reconstruction work of the masjid will be taken up after Eid-ul-Fitr. Local residents applauded his offer.
