Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy has assured that the pending salaries of Home Guards will be cleared before Diwali festival.
Speaking to media persons after meeting Finance Minister Etela Rajender here on Wednesday, the Home Minister admitted that the salaries of Home Guards have been pending for the last three months. He assured that their salaries would be cleared before the Diwali festival and necessary steps would be taken to ensure that they salaries on regular basis on par with other police personnel. He said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was quite concerned about the welfare of Home Guards and the State Government would take all steps to address their needs.
Meanwhile, Etela Rajender too assured that the government would clear the pending salaries of Home Guards at the earliest. He said that the Chief Minister has already issued directions asking for payment of Home Guards’ salaries before the Dussera festival. (INN)
