Indian badminton ace Saina Nehwal entered the finals of the USD 750,000 Australian Super Series on Saturday after defeating World Number two and top seed Chinese Shixian Wang.
Nehwal, who currently stands just a win away from clinching her second title of the year, defeated Wang 21-19, 16-21, 21-15 in an hour and 16 minutes.
After recording her fifth overall win against her Chinese opponent, Nehwal tweeted that she beat Wang in a tough three game match.
Nehwal had lost to Wang in their previous two encounters, the most recent being the All England Championships, but the sixth seed took their head-to-head record to 5-3 by winning the semi-final match in Sydney.
Saina had won the India Open Grand Prix Gold in Delhi earlier this year. (ANI)
