Primary Education Minister S Sailajanath on Saturday slammed YSR Congress party president and Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy for claiming that the elected representatives have sacrificed their posts in protest against government’s anti-farmers’ policies in the State.
Talking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party office, Sailajanath dismissed the arguments of Jagan group and said that Jagan and his supporters have no moral right to speak on ‘sacrifices’ and ‘trust’. He said that Jagan has quit the Congress party as the Congress High Command has refused to give him Chief Minister’s post after the death of his father and former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
Sailajanath said that some Congress MLAs supported Jagan Mohan Reddy as he lured them with money. Stating that YSR continued as a loyal Congress party worker till his last breath, he said that YSR would have continued in the Congress if he was alive. He asked Jagan whether YSR wrote any will to establish new party against the Congress.
Stating that the YSR Congress party still lacks a clear policy, he accused Jagan of copying Congress schemes and development programmes to come to power in the State. He advised leaders to think twice before joining the YSR Congress group considering the dubious image of Jagan and his involvement in accumulation of illegal wealth. (INN)
