The Scholl Education Minister Dr S Sailajanath has alleged that the YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was giving his party’s label to the Congress government’s welfare and developmental schemes.
Speaking to the media at CLP office here on Sunday along with the Government Chief Whip Gandra Venkatramana Reddy, Dr Sailajanath said that some parties were trying to hijack the historic agreement between the State government and Maharashtra with regard to Pranahita-Chevella project. Stating that construction of Irrigation projects was Congress party’s policy, he said that construction of projects was possible only with the Congress governments.
Flaying that Jagan party leaders didn’t know their own party ideals, more so, they don’t have any policies, he took them to task for resorting to criticism on State government works. He said that even his party will not think like TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu, who had no vision on Irrigation projects.
Asked about SEZs in the state, Dr Sailajanath said that the government has to take back the lands allotted to the SEZs and others, which were not using for the purpose. He said that he was personally against the mining of Bauxite, destructing the beautiful environment.
Gandra exuded confidence that the state will succeed in getting national status to the Pranahitha-Chevella project. He said that the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will convince the people, who were opposing the construction of the Polavaram project, through discussions and will complete the Polavaram project too. When asked about separate Telangana issue, he said that creation of separate Telangana was the desire of the people of the region and construction of projects was for development. “Development is a regular process and it will not be stopped with the demand of separate Telangana. Telangana issue is in the hands of the Centre’, he said. (NSS)
