Setting aside the criticism of some senior leaders against the recommendations made by the Dharmana Committee, Primary Education Minister S Sailajanath said that the committee has submitted valuable recommendations that would definitely rejuvenate the party and the government as well.
He said there were some more suggestions made by the committee but they were not included into the report. He claimed that there was nothing wrong to suggest that the Congress party should establish a news channel and a newspapers of its own. Talking to media persons here on Thursday, Sailajanath said that the Dharmana Committee has received suggestions from all the ministers and senior leaders of the constituencies before making a final report. He pointed out that if the recommendations of the committee were implemented in letter sprit then the party would definitely come to power again in the general elections of 2014.
Reacting on the demands for resignation Secondary Education Minister K Parthasarathi who has been convicted by the Special Court for Economic Offences in a FERA case, Shailajanath said that there was no need to tender resignation by the minister.
Stating that there no signs of contemplation to bifurcate the State in center the Minister made it clear that no discussions were going on in New Delhi pertaining to Telangana issue. (INN)
