Saif’s sisters Soha Ali Khan and Saba Ali Khan are more than excited for their brother’s marriage. The two sisters have planned to wear traditional exotic clothes from their mother Sharmila Tagore’s trousseau, instead of going the designer route. They want to make the function a memorable one hence what could be the best option than choosing those ethnic traditional outfits preserved generation after generation. The outfits include ghararas and shararas which once used to be the status symbol of royal families, which are not available today. Kareena Kapoor’s wedding outfit has been designed by Manish Malhotra.
Shifting from wedding to Kareena’s birthday which falls on september 21, Kareena Kapoor had plans to bring in her birthday in theatres but, Saif Ali Khan wants to whisk her to London on the night of September 20 and bring in her birthday in their favourite hotel in London.
Of course Kareena is trying to be an obedient wife-to-be and an affectionate would be daughter-in-law. When people made fuss over her calling Sharmila Tagore her mother-in-law in public; she retorted ‘Sharmilaji is my mother-in-law. How else should I address her. I respect and adore Saif s mother and it is but natural for me to refer to her as my ma-in-law.’
