Saidapet murder suspect found dead in Mumbai

Chennai, June 29: The body of Suresh, the prime suspect in the murder of a 25 year old woman in Saidapet, was found on a railway track in Mumbai.
When Sivanandan, a contractor and resident of Dharmaraja Koil Street, arrived home on the evening of June 24, he found his wife, S Ashwini murdered.
The former small time actress, a native of Mumbai, was found lying on the bed with her throat slashed. The couple also had a fouryearold son.
The police suspected that the woman was raped and murdered.
Inquiries revealed that the couple’s relative Suresh (29), who was living with them after losing his job as site supervisor with a builder, was absconding since the incident.
He was later named the prime suspect in the case after efforts to contact him over his cell phone failed.
Meanwhile, even as special police teams had lauched a hunt for Suresh, his body was found in Mumbai on Monday.
Suresh was found dead on the railway track with his head severed at the Dadar station on Monday.
According to sources, Suresh had allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a moving train.
The Mumbai police later recovered his body and later sent it for an autopsy.
The Mumbai cops managed to identify the victim as Suresh, a resident of Semmancherry here, with the help of his identity card and by accessing the calls taht were made from his mobile phone.
A police team from Guindy accompanied by Suresh’s relatives, has reportedly left to Mumbai.
