Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopananda Saraswati of Dwarka Peeth once again instigated a controversy on Monday by stating that Sai Baba was a devoted Muslim and used to eat beef.
Swaroopananda alleged that Sai Baba used read Surah Fatiha for deceased.
He also blamed him of committing fraud against Hindus. According to Swaroopananda, ‘Sabka Malik Ek’ was the utterances of Gurunanak and not a saying of Sai Baba.
He accused Sai trust of duping people. He said that the trust has collected over Rs. 13 billion till now which has been kept in 13 different banks.
After independence, statues of Muslims are being installed inside the temples, said Swami. “Government should oppose installation of Sai idol in Hindu temples”, he said.
With the exception of this, Swaroopananda also alleged that Muslim rulers bulldozed the temples and build shrines at those sites and there is a Shivlinga, both under Dargah Sharif in Ajmer and Taj Mahal in Agra.
