Panchayat Raj Minister KT Rama Rao today ridiculed that opposition parties will have to “bite err… drink waters of three lakes” as the flagship program of Water Grid will be fructified to give safe drinking waters to the people soon.
Addressing a public meeting at Ubhaya Samudram after laying a found stone for water grid works in Nalgonda, KTR stated that the project will be completed in just one and half years. With the success of the project the people will get pure drinking waters while the opposition leaders will have to face awkward position (moodu cheruvla Neellu thaguthaaru). Moved at the plight of fluoride hit people in Nalgonda district, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is aiming to root out the problem and giving priority to begin the works in the district, KTR stated.
Though northern State Chief Minister Akhlesh Yadav appreciated the water project of Telangana, former minister and senior congress leader K Jana Reddy and others failed to understand the scheme, he charged. He condemned the comments that the water grid scheme was involved in alleged corruption. The Congress leaders are noted for a dubious distinction of claiming bills without building the houses. He admonished congress leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka for keeping quiet when the then chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy gave Rs 700 crore for Chittoor district water facility. The people did not forget the incident of burning currency notes in a four wheeler of Congress leader Utham Kumar Reddy. The opposition comments should not cause negative impact on the people, he said.
Despite Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharosa yatra, the people of Telangana voted TRS to power, he said. While the Congress rulers supplied seeds to the farmers from the police stations, the TRS government has taken all steps to make adequate supply of seeds available in the open market. The TRS Government will begin 5500 mw Yadadri power project in Nalgonda district and give 9 hour power supply during day hours next year. KTR claimed that they are supplying same fine rice to welfare hostels in the state what CM’s grandson is eating. TRS Government is spending Rs 4400 crore for welfare and providing succor to the poor families through Kalyan Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak and pensions.(NSS)
