Shaikh Sadiq Pasha, a student of class IX, Zilla Parishad High School, Rotary Nagar, Khammam, is among the 17 Indian students who have been selected to speak in UN General Assembly to be held in New York in the US on 25th and 26th of September 2015. Around 300 students from 110 nations will participate. Sadiq pasha hails from a very poor family and was consistently working for the child rights in the district of the past two years.
Sadiq is a member of Human Rights Club set up by the People’s Action for Rural Awakening (PARA) in the ZPHS, Rotary Nagar, in Khammam. He will be part of the Nine is Mine campaign, sponsored by the WNTA, a network of over 3000 civil society organisations.
The WNTA has been spearheading the campaign at the national and international level for increased budget allocation for education and health schemes for children.
