Sack tainted aides or face party rout, TDP tells CM

TDP senior leaders Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and Linga Reddy on Monday said that the Supreme Court has served notices on six ministers as it found prima facie case against their involvement in the YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s ill-gotten wealth case.

Speaking at the Assembly media point, the TDP leaders said that there was every possibility of the files concerned missing from the Secretariat if the tainted ministers were allowed to continue in office. They also alleged that the YSR Congress chief was spending over Rs 100 crores for the Kovuru by-election alone from the ill-gotten money.

They felt that the pathetic condition of the farmers would improve greatly if the same amount was spent on their welfare. The TDP leaders demanded that Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy immediately dismiss those tainted ministers who stood by the “Corruption King” Jagan. Otherwise, the Congress candidates would not even save their deposits in the ensuing elections, they added. (NSS)
