Sachin should shoulder more responsibility: Rahul Dravid

Former Indian Cricket Team Skipper Rahul Dravid today said Little Master Sachin Tendulkar should shoulder additional responsibility after VVS Laxman who announced his retirement recently. “Sachin (Tendulkar) would continue to shoulder responsibility in the absence of myself and classy Laxman in the upcoming India-New Zealand series which begins from August 23 in Hyderabad,’ he added.

‘Sachin has been burderned with responsibility and has been carrying it on his shoulder’s for the last 16 years. I hope he will continue to do it (in the upcoming India-New Zealand series),’ he told reporters on the sidelines of a function here.

Indian cricket lived and breathed with these three greats (Sachin, Dravid, Laxman) in the middle for over a decade. In the 118 matches they played together, Tendulkar (9703), Dravid (9471) and Laxman (7736) amassed a total of 26,910 runs with 67 hundreds and 138 fifties. UNI
