Mumbai, August 29: Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar today inaugurated the city’s first catheterisation laboratory (cath lab) and an operating centre at Holy family hospital in suburban Bandra here.
Saluting the doctors at the occasion, Sachin said, “being a husband of a doctor, I know how much hard work and sacrifice doctors have to make.”
“From a cricketer’s point of view we merely entertain people but you actually make them breath,” he said. Sachin was happy to inaugurate the facility on his mother’s birthday.
With the cath lab, Mumbai becomes the second city in the country after Delhi to have the facility and the operating centre.
