Mallika Sherawat who is trying to make a name for herself in Hollywood makes some rather odd choices in Bollywood. After doing some random item numbers and cameos in big-budget flops like ‘Double Dhamaal’, she has now signed up a film with actor Sachiin Joshi who had debuted in the box office turkey ‘Azaan’ last year.
Sachiin, who got married to actress Urvashi Sharma, a few days ago, is all set to star in his next project ‘Mumbai Mirror’ opposite Mallika. He plays a quirky cop in the film while Mallika essays the role of a dance bar girl. The movie, its makers say, mirrors the Mumbai underbelly and revolves around the nexus between powerful corrupt dance bar lords and the Mumbai Police.
Directed by Ankush Bhatt, of Bhindi Bazaar Inc. fame, ‘Mumbai Mirror’ has music by Anand Raj Anand. Shooting commences April end and is scheduled to wrap up in three months.
“Mallika and Sachiin make a very unique and fresh pair. Her chemistry with the daredevil Sachiin is sure to create a hullabaloo,” says the director.
