The leaders of All India Minority Association alleged that Central Govt. has shelved the reports of Sachar Committee and Mishra Commission. Sachar Committee was formed in 2004 and Mishra Commission was constituted in 2007. They submitted their reports to the Central Govt. These reports have not yet been presented in the Parliament. The leaders of the association, while addressing a press conference told that the Muslims have played an important role right from Freedom Struggle of India till today but the ruling parties have restricted their progress to the extent of promises only.
President of the association Mr. Muqtar Husain, Mr. M.A. Siddiqui, former Secretary of TDP, Mr. S.M. Rabbani, Mr. Ilham Husain made the ruling parties responsible for the backwardness of the Muslim and told that a separate sub-plan is allocated for BCs but no such effort is made for the development of Muslims. They urged the need to formulate a separate sub-plan for the progress of the Muslim. They pointed out that 4% reservations in education and employment were announced by Govt. of A.P. on the basis of which Congress came back to power in the State but this matter is pending in the court.
While addressing the press conference, the leaders of the Muslims demanded the Dept. of Minorities Welfare, Wakf Board, Minorities Commission, Minorities Finance Corporation, Urdu Academy and other Minority institutions to provide basic infrastructure and sufficient staff to create job opportunities for the Muslims. They also demanded to present Sachar Committee Report and Ranganatha Mishra Commission Report in the Parliament soon.
