Home Minister P. Sabita Indra Reddy, who reportedly submitted her resignation to Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Saturday evening at the behest of the Congress High Command, has said she has been working like a party soldier even after becoming minister and would continue to do so in future too.
Sabita Indra Reddy reportedly told her supporters, who called on her on Sunday, that she would spare no efforts to strengthen the party for its win in the next general elections. Stating that she never violated business rules and helped Jaganmohan Reddy in any manner, Sabita said she would face the allegations courageously and tackle them legally.
Stating that she faced many victories and wins in her political life along with her late husband, she reportedly told her confidants that there was no setback or danger to her political future. Ministers Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Raghuveera Reddy, Vatti Vasant Kumar and Danam Nagendar also met Sabita this morning and discussed about the resignation affair.
Speaking to the media, LB Nagar Congress MLA Sudheer Reddy said Sabita had told him that she would obey the directive of the party High Command. However, he said there was a lot of difference between the cases of Sabita Indra Reddy and the recently axed Union ministers. (NSS)
