S A Shukoor denies withdrawal of bank-linked subsidy scheme budget

Managing Director Minority Finance Corporation, Prof. S A Shukoor has denied that the bank-linked subsidy scheme has been withdrawn by the government. Declaring a report published in some corners of press as baseless, Prof. Shukoor told that no direction has been received from the government in this regard.

He informed that the government had allotted Rs. 100 crore for bank linked subsidy scheme of which 75 crore have been released. The government had set the target of 26620 beneficiaries while the Minority Finance corporation has released 11.12 crore to 4175 beneficiaries so far.

He further said the subsidy amount was not released since the election code of conduct is in force; the amount will be released after poll results.
