Special Officer Waqf Board Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal IPS called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu and made representation regarding measures to ensure protection of Waqf properties in Andhra Pradesh. Submitting a report based on various proposals he asserted that Waqf Board faces difficulties in protection of Waqf properties due to lack of coordination between revenue department and Waqf Board. He claimed that elimination of unauthorized occupations can be ensured through better coordination between government, district administration and Waqf Board.
Mr. Iqbal pointed out that many cases of illegal encroachment are pending with the district administration for past several years but the authorities are not paying attention towards the protection of Waqf properties.
AP CM assured to issue necessary orders after reviewing the report in detail.
