President Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Ponnala Lakshmaiah has appointed senior Congress leader Mr. S K Afzaluddin as party spokesman. It must be noted that Mr. Afzaluddin is the first Muslim leader who has been appointed as spokesman after formation of Telangana Congress party. Afzaluddin is counted among senior Congress leaders. He has served as secretary Pradesh Congress Committee and Vice President Urdu Academy in the past. His services for the promotion and development of Urdu are remarkable.
Mr. Afzaluddin thanked Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Mr. Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir for appointing him Congress Committee spokesman and pledged to counter the criticism made by opposition parties and create awareness among people regarding welfare schemes of the party.
