The Rythu Sangam will organise Rythu Poru Bata in all the districts across the State from August 1st to 8th against the failure of the government to address the farmers issues.
Talking to media persons here, Rythu Sangam president Rama Krishna alleged that the State Government has failed to provide subsidized seeds and fertilizers to farmers despite the beginning of Khariff season. Farmers are also deprived from agricultural loans. Although the authorities were fully aware of the situation, they did not take any measures to rescue the peasants, he said.
Claiming that the ‘’Toll Free” number, started by the Government to extend help to the farmers was nothing but an eye wash, he said that farmers in the State were facing financial losses due to the wrong policies of the State Government. Therefore, he said that the farmers across the State would launch protest from August 1 to 8th. After the conclusion of Rythu Poru Bata, on August 9th a massive protest would be organised at the State Secretariat. (INN)
