Hyderabad: Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has stated that the state government has set up Rythu Samanyava Samithis to unite the unorganized farmers and to ensure their welfare.
Replying to a question raised by the TRS members Vemula Veeresham, Jalagam Venkatrao, and BJP members G Kishan Reddy and NVVS Prabhakar in the Legislative Assembly today, Pocharam alleged that the previous government selected the party followers, auto drivers and the persons, who have no bullock and agriculture farms, as ‘Adarsha Ryths’ but the TRS government provided opportunity to the real farmers in the Rythu Samanvaya Samithis. He said that the TRS government provided an opportunity as members of the Rythu Samanvaya Samithis to those who have agriculture land. He also revealed that the government has given 1/3 quota to the women farmers in the 15 members Grama Rythu Samanvaya Samithis. It was repeated in mandal, district level committees, he said.
He informed that the government has given an opportunity to all castes and religions as members of the Rythu Samanvaya Samithis. He said that 1.61 lakh farmers were there in the Rythu Samanvaya Samithis across the state.
