Andhra Pradsh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today said the ambitious task of providing employment to 15 lakh youths under ‘Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu’ will be achieved despite formative difficulties and criticism. Speaking at the Natiional Work on ‘Skill development: Opportunities & Challenges’ organised by the Rajiv Education and Employment Mission in Andhra Pradesh (REEMAP) here, the Chief Minister said, “We made an aggresive start of the programme. There are some hurdles which we have to overcome. There was criticism without understanding the programme. I take positive note of it and try to finetune the programme to acheive the target”, he said. The Chief Minister said the ultimate aim was to find jobs for the unemployed educated youths by providing them suitable employment and put an end to unemployment as well. He said one of the difficulty was that we did not expect that youths will come for high-end jobs also. Now we have to suitably mould our training and skill development programmes. He said another area was to identify future jobs that may be available in the next 10 years and suitably amend the curriculum so that the youths coming out armed with different courses should be made employable.
