Russian tourist attacked, robbed in Orissa

Bhubaneswar, January 18: A Russian tourist was on Monday stabbed and robbed of her belongings in Orissa’s Puri town, police said.

“Lisina Nadedza had come with the complaint that she was attacked and robbed of her belongings. We have registered a case and assigned an officer of Sadar police station to probe the incident,” Sea Beach police station in-charge Amulya Kumar Dhar said.

According to Nadedza, she was going on a bicycle when a man attacked her with a sharp knife and tried to snatch her bag.

“The person waylaid me while I was going on my bicycle. He tried to snatch my bag. He stabbed me and decamped with my mobile phone and money,” said Lisina. She received stab injuries on her left hand.
