Kabul :Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has warned that if Arab forces entered the Syrian war they could spark a ‘new world war’ and has urged for ceasefire talks instead.
TOLO News reported that when asked about proposals by some Arab countries to enter the conflict under a US command, Medvedev said, ‘that would be bad decision because ground offensives usually lead to wars becoming permanent’.
Dmitry Medvedev said that the Americans and Arabic partners must think hard about this that do they really want a permanent war?’.
Medvedev further added that in the Arabic world everyone is fighting against everyone, everything is far more complicated and could take years or decades to resolve.
‘All sides must be forced to the negotiating table instead of sparking a new world war’ said Medvedev.(ANI)
