Moscow, September 19: Russia rejects any ‘crude’ compromise deal with the US on missile deployments after Washington dropped its planned defense shield in Eastern Europe.
“If our partners hear some of our worries, we will be equally attentive to theirs,” Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said in an interview on Friday with Swiss media ahead of a state visit to Switzerland next week.
However when questioned about any concessions that Russia may have made in return for the end of the Star Wars defense shield, which the Kremlin had strongly opposed he added, “That means no compromises or primitive deals.”
Ties between Moscow and the West have been slowly recovering since Obama took over at the White House, promising a ‘reset’ in relations with Russia.
