Moscow: Recent poisoning of former Russian Spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter with a nerve agent has severed diplomatic relations of Russia with the West.
London holds Russia responsible for the attack while Russia denies these allegations. Russia has already sent 23 Britain diplomats over the poisoning and now it says Britain must send home “just over 50” more of its diplomats, Channel News Asia reported.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova on Saturday told that Russia gave Britain a month’s time to cut its diplomatic batch to the same size as Russia and to bring home its diplomats.
“We asked for parity. The Brits have 50 diplomats more than the Russians,” said Zakharova and when she was asked whether 50 diplomats will be brought home she replied “A little over 50”.
