(Siasat News) These days rumours are making rounds in the old city. There is a roumour that a strange shape of girl was born in Shaheen Nagar who has four heads and four legs. Another rumour was spread that children from 1 to 11 years should not sleep till 2 am otherwise death is certain. Many women wake up their children and spent sleepless nights.
Many persons contacted Siasat office on telephone. These persons passed on the rumours to their relatives. Pahadi Shareef police ruled out all such rumours as fake. It may be a mischief played by some miscreants. People in Falaknuma, Pahadi Shareef, Vattepally, Talaab Katta, Yakutpura, Tolichowki and other arears were hit by these rumours. At some places announcements were made through the loudspeakers of the mosques for not paying need to such rumours.
DCP of South Zone, Dr. Sabharwal also made an announcement that there is no truth in these rumours.
It only reflects the illiteracy and superstitions beliefs of the Muslims that they are carried away by the unbelievable rumours.
What has happened to our Islamic knowledge and Quranic beliefs. The Muslims believe in Allah and His Prophet (SAWS). Don’t we have the common sense to testify the rumours? Our faith is firm in Allah (SWT) why should have fear psychosis in us?
It is high time that we educate our children and keep them abreast of Islamic knowledge.
