Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) Chief Spokesperson Rudraraju Padmaraju on Sunday criticised the proposed alliance between the TDP, BJP and Lok Satta.
Speaking to media persons at Indira Bhavan here, Rudraraju specifically targeted Lok Satta and asked Dr Jayprakash Narayana to explain the motive behind allying with a communal party like BJP. He said that the Lok Satta was formed on the slogan of social justice and by allying with BJP, Dr JP has violated the principals that he claims to follow.
Rudraraju described both TDP and BJP as opportunist who were coming together only for political gain and not for the public welfare. He accused both the parties of having a dual stand on the issue of Andhra Pradesh bifurcation. He said while TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu never revealed his real stand, the BJP maintained dual stand on Telangana in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. On the other side, he said that the Seemandhra Congress leaders maintained a single stand and openly opposed the division and would continue to do so in future. (INN)
