Hyderabad, October 5: Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) is likely to be divided into different parts. Besides this proposal of its privatization is also being considered. According to sources after a loss of nearly 2000 crore there is no way left but to privatize the corporation. Sources also said that chief minister Mr. N Kiran Kumar Reddy had convened a meeting to mull over the matter. It is said that government of Andhra Pradesh plans to privatise road Transport Corporation in congruence with other states such as Delhi, Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh however centre’s permission is legally required to implement the plan.
Meanwhile the strike of RTC employees is likely to intensify soon as only employees and workers were taking part in the strike so far. However from October 7, depot managers, divisional manager level officials are likely to take part in the strike who were till now attending office with black batches.
