APSRTC Telangana Mazdoor Union has given an ultimatum to the management saying that it would serve strike notice if it failed to respond to the problems of the employees.
The Union launched a 48-hour relay hunger strike on Monday at Indira Park here in protest against the management’s negligent attitude. The protesters raised slogans against the RTC management and against the recognized Union NMU. They demanded that the management regularize services of the contract employees and pay double salary for double duty. They also demanded that the management resolve the problems of women conductors.
Telangana Political JAC Chairman Prof. Kodandaram visited the hunger strike camp and extended his support to them.
Speaking on the occasion, Kodandaram flayed the policies of the RTC management. (NSS)
