(Siasat News)Mr. A.K.Khan Managing Director of A.P. State Road Transport Corporation has agreed to accept the demands of RTC employees.
Hence, National Mazdoor Union of RTC has withdrawn the call given for the call given for strike.
Mr. M. Nageshwara Rao President and Syed Mahmood General Secretary of National Mazdoor Union of RTC told that during the negotiations, the union had with the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of RTC Mr. A.K. khan agreed to resolve the issues of RTC workers despite the weaker financial position of the organization. They thanked Mr. A.K.Khan and said that it is obligatory on the part of the employees to enhance the finances of the establishment. In the event of strike, RTC will have to incur more financial losses, which will not solve the employee’s problems. The management agreed to make the services of 2900 contract drivers and conductors permanent by 30th September. It was also decided to refer the matter of making the services of 1700 drivers and conductors permanent to Govt. of A.P by 4th August 2012. The leave compensation of 2010 will be paid by 22nd October. The leave compensating of 2011 will also be paid in case the financial position of RTC became improves. Employees will be granted three days leave every month. Employees performing double duty will be given double payment.
Ten new buses with middle door will be introduced in five districts. After the receipt of G.O from Govt., one person from the family of the decreased RTC employee would be provided employment.
A scales committee would be sent up for giving scales to RTC employees. Grant of exemption from educational qualifications to drivers for getting promotion as A.D.C’s the quota of conductors to be promoted as junior assistants would be enhanced from 20% to 30%. The system of Outsourcing would be withdrawn gradually. In all, the management accepted 32 such demands.
