A driver by name Prem Kumar attempted to commit suicide on Friday alleging that Rajendra Nagar RTC depot official Krishna Reddy was harassing him whenever ticket collection was less.
Prem Kumar, tried to commit suicide in front of the bus depot by pouring petrol on his body. The RTC workers, who came to celebrate May Day in front of the depot, obstructed the suicide bid. The remaining RTC workers came to the spot and stopped the buses immediately and staged a dharna in front of the depot. The workers stopped their dharna after the assurance of depot manager Venkat Reddy, who said that he will do justice to Prem Kumar. (NSS)
