A total of 600 CCTV cameras would be installed in 60 depots so that the movements of RTC employees will be monitored, in order to find out non-performance on Duty.
27 depots of Hyderabad and Secunderabad of Telangana will have CCTV cameras in its depots.
In Andhra Pradesh, 33 depots at Krishna, West Godavari and Guntur will have CCTV cameras.
“The cameras will help in reviewing bus maintenance works, examine cleanliness of buses and also monitor operations of buses,” said M Ravinder, Executive Director (HRD), RTC, through a press release.
He further said that the cameras would also help in preventing thefts, illegal and unsocial activities and curtail movements of unauthorised people. With in a month, the cameras will be installed, he added.
