RTC crew threaten stir from Jan. 3

APSRTC Employees Union and Telangana Mazdoor Union on Friday threatened to go on strike from January 3 if the management failed to concede their legitimate demands which include regularization of contract workers, scrapping of contract system, compassionate appointments, interim relief on par with government employees and so on.
The leaders of Employees Union and Telangana Mazdoor Union called on APSRTC vice-chairman-cum-managing director J Poornachandra Rao in Bus Bhavan today and served a strike notice.
Speaking to the media later, the APSRTC EU and TMU general secretaries K. Padmakar and E. Ashwaddhama Reddy have made it clear that they would go on indefinite strike from January 3, 2014 as the management was adopting delay tactics on the implementation of agreement reached between the employees and the management on July 4, 2013 with the initiative of Transport Minister Botcha Satyanarayana.
EU leaders S Babu, K. Raji Reddy, Palishetty Damodara Rao, M. Hanumantha Rao, G.D. Prasad Reddy, N. Balreddy and TMU leaders V. Tirupati, Dhaman Reddy, BV Reddy, L. Maraiah and others were present. (NSS)
