After failed rounds of discussions over hike in salaries, the RTC employees have warned an indefinite strike. Buses will go off the road in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh from May 6 if the salaries of the RTC employees are not increased on par with government employees, said a union member.
General Secretaries of APSRTC Employees’ Union and RTC Telangana Mazdoor Union K Padmakar and E Ashwathama Reddy stated that about 1.2 lakh employees of the Corporation should be paid 43 per cent fitment.
The general secretaries requested chief ministers of Telangana and AP to announce 43 per cent fitment for the RTC employees.
