Dubai: It seems that RSS is making an attempt to stretch its arms towards oil rich countries. As per recent developments, Hindutva group is all set to strengthen its presence in the Middle East countries like UAE, where it has a large number of supporters among non-resident Indians.
According to Coastal digest reports quoting reliable sources, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat held a series of closed-door meetings with prominent NRI businessmen tycoons seeking their cooperation in expanding the organisation and strengthening its activities Muslim ruled gulf countries.
NRI tycoons including Dr BR Shetty, the MD of UAE-based NMC Group of Companies, were also took part in the meeting at Thanthra Vidya Peettham at Aluva near Kochi in Kerala last week to received “guidance” from Bhagwat.
The RSS chief had called for financial assistance to Sangh Parivar-backed institutions, where temple culture and associated rituals of worship are taught.
Although RSS does not organise any public events in Middle Eastern countries it is believed that a lot of NRI tycoons have been funding the organisation for the past many years.
The historic UAE visit by PM Modi, who is also an RSS product, has energised the RSS sympathisers in the Middle East, the report added.
