Itanagar: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has nearly 3,000 members in Arunachal Pradesh, many of whom do consume beef and it cannot come in the way of becoming RSS member.
Accoring to report published in The Telegraph, this fact was shared by its All-India prachar pramukh Manmohan Vaidya during a media interaction in Arunachal Pradesh on 8 December.
“We want to make India the number one country. RSS is not a religious organisation, but a social one,” he claimed.
“We don’t tell society what to eat or not to eat,” he said, before adding that people who eat beef can also become its members.
Previously, Sunil Mohanty, a representative of the RSS in the state, called the Sangh “the most misunderstood organisation today”.
