The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Tuesday lashed out at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) over the views expressed on beef in their mouthpiece ‘Organiser’, and accused them of misleading the people of the nation in the name of cow.
“I am not able to understand, where is beef, what are they talking about. There is a total prohibition on cow slaughter in Bihar since 1955. They (RSS) do not know facts or figures, they are just trying to hide their shortcomings by raking up cow issue again and again. They want to divide the nation into pieces,” RJD leader Manoj Jha told ANI.
An article in ‘Organiser’ has stated that those who insist on eating beef want the freedom to insult Hindus and the same people have indirectly silenced sane voices.
“In the name of freedom to eat food of one’s choice, they are demanding freedom to insult Hindus. Issue for them is not about fundamental right to eat, but the issue is fundamental right to insult the Hindus…These people who have enjoyed the spoils of power under the Congress government have indirectly silenced all sane voices,” the article says.
