Palakkad: A court here has found five RSS-BJP workers guilty of murdering two CPM workers at Kadukkamkunnu in Malampuzha.
Justice Suresh Kumar Paul of Palakkad additional district court (2) on Monday convicted Manikandan, Rajesh, Murukadas, Suresh and Gireesh — all hailing from Kadukkamkunnu — for murdering Gopalakrishnan and his relative Raveendran. The victims were hacked to death on October 29, 2007.
The fourth and sixth accused were acquitted by the court for want of evidence. The quantum of sentence will be pronounced on Wednesday.
The prosecution case is that the convicts committed the murder due to personal grudge and political enmity.
