Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh’s (RSS) four-day meet ‘Manthan’ kicked-off in the industrial town of Uttar Pradesh here on Sunday.
According to reports, after Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) recent debacle in the Delhi polls, the future organisational strategy of the RSS and strategy for UP, Bihar polls are likely to be discussed in this meet.
Later in the day, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will address thousands of organisation members at the railway ground here.
Giving information about the details of the meeting, VHP Awadh region secretary Bihari Mishra had yesterday said that the focus during the ‘Manthan’ will be on analysing the working of the main organisation and the shortcomings. “Ways to strengthen BJP with a focus on 2017 assembly elections will be discussed,” Mishra added.
He also said that the meeting would include workers active in other organisations, including the BJP and VHP. It will also discuss the organisation’s strategy to galvanise and energise the cadre with elections in key states Bihar and Uttar Pradesh not very far away.
As per a RSS functionary, after the rout in Delhi polls, the organisation has concentrated on its setup in Uttar Pradesh.
