Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday assailed the UPA-led Central Government for its ”apathetic stance” on violations along the nation’s borders, and urged voters to make an informed decision while electing the next government in 2014.
“The intrusions on the border of this nation happen often. Can any government say like this (is usual)? The authorities vested with the security of the border—can they say that these are usual things? Are these usual incidents? But it has happened in our country,” Bhagwat said while addressing a rally here on the occasion of Dussera.
“It is the responsibility of the public to choose a right leader by voting in the elections of our democracy. We should fulfill this responsibility and we should help each other to make sure that this responsibility is fulfilled by the people,” Bhagwat added.
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nitin Gadkari was also part of the Dussera rally.
On the occasion of Dussera, the RSS cadres worshipped the batons and allied implements as part of Astra Puja also known as Ayudh Puja. (ANI)
