RSS certificate needed for Govt jobs? BJP workers join SSV in UP

“Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Adityanath have an RSS background and can rely upon the honesty of RSS workers”- RSS leader.

Lucknow: In an urge of getting jobs in Government corporations, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers across Uttar Pradesh are reported to have joined Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office bearers to find a place in the Annual Sangh Shiksha Varg, also known as Initial Training Camps (ITC).

In Yogi’s ministership, the party workers feel that the association with RSS would benefit them in getting posted in government organizations.

Soon after the state government started the process of filling up several posts in the government organizations, the party workers felt that an association with the RSS would increase their chances of getting selected for the job.

Sources in the BJP have also agreed that party workers across the state are submitting their job applications to the RSS office bearers and requesting them to recommend their name for the posting.

“With the formation of the new government, an exercise has begun for posting government lawyers and chairpersons of corporations and boards, and advisers in the state departments. Many are visiting RSS pracharaks at the districts and prants seeking entry to ITCs,” an RSS leader reported to The Indian Express.

“Those not aware of the process have directly got enrolled for Official Training Camps (OTC). While first-year OTC in Awadh prant will begin in Lakhimpur on May 22, second-year OTC in Sultanpur will start from May 23. They want to attend the OTCs because the state government has already started the process to fill up several postings in the government” the leader added.

What is RSS’s Sangh Shiksha Varg ?

RSS trains the volunteers about their organisation, background, programmes, ideology and functioning in 7 days of camp. Volunteers who are regular in the RSS shakhas and have completed class X are eligible to be selected for the Sangh Shiksha Varg.

On completion of the training, the volunteers are shortlisted by the RSS who are then sent to OTC. The volunteers then have to attend a 20-day training programme for three consecutive years. Out of these three years, the first two years’ training of the volunteers is organised at prant and kshetra levels whereas, in the third year, the volunteers are sent to RSS headquarters in Nagpur.

Claiming that there will be no recruitments made by the government organisations based on the number of years spent with RSS, a BJP leader said that they will verify the sources made by the applicants.

“Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Adityanath have an RSS background and can rely upon the honesty of RSS workers. So those seeking postings in the government are trying to attend these camps so that they could claim in their resumes that they are affiliated to the RSS,” an RSS leader said.
