RSS begins the campaign for its political arm BJP in Uttar Pradesh

UP: RSS, the mother Organisation of BJP, had started the political campaign for its political arm in Uttar Pradesh. It wants to repeat the same 2014 victory in UP in 2019 again but it is not easy because of anti-incumbency and online attack of opposition on social media.

UP has 80 Lok Sabha seats, out of which 71 seats were won by BJP in 2014 general elections.

The campaign of RSS will be divided in two segments: Eastern and Awadh region, and the western UP. The eastern zone tour will be from Friday till Wednesday.

According to the news reported in Daily Mail, the RSS sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat knows it won’t be an easy task given the anti-incumbency, online attack of opposition and now the PNB fraud
that has rocked the country.

To get the sense and estimate the public mood, the RSS Chief decided to tour the entire state and on Friday, the tour was started from Varanasi, PM Modi’s constituency.

The western segment of the tour will begin with Agra as its epicentre. Since Mohan Bhagwat won’t be going to Mathura, he has decided to tour Agra on 22nd and 23rd. Following Agra, the RSS Chief’s next stop will be Meerut, and the Sugarcane belt area which constitutes Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Muradabad and Baghpat.

Jats and non-Jatav Dalits who voted for BJP enmasse in the Assembly elections are quite unhappy with the BJP. Mohan Bhagwat will meet the BJP leadership representing these areas in the State assembly and Parliament.
