Indore, October 10: An inter-state gang dealing in Hawala transactions has been busted with the arrest of three persons and recovery of Rs 95 lakh from their possession, police said.
Kannu Devda, Mukesh Patel and Vishnu Patel, all three hailing from Gujarat, were apprehended by the Madhya Pradesh police from an apartment on MG Road in a raid carried out last night, they said.
The accused are suspected of working for a firm in Ahemdabad and were trying to take the Hawala money to Gujarat, police added.
Two bags containing Hawala cash amounting to Rs 95 lakh were also recovered from the spot.
Further investigations are going on to ascertain the source of the money and the destination it was meant for.
