State government has released Rs. 80.93 crore towards fee reimbursement and post matric scholarships to minority students. Principal secretary minority finance Dr. D Sambasiva Rao issued GO RT 1934 in this connection. The amount has been released from 2013-14 budget towards the arrears of fee reimbursement and post matric scholarships for the academic year 2012-13.
GO stated that the government has allocated a total of Rs 77,54,18000 for scholarships to minority students for the current year of which Rs. 6.27 crore have been released now while Rs. 71,2718000 have to be released later. Rs. 80 crore have been allocated for fee reimbursement to minority students of which Rs. 74.66 crore have been released and Rs. 5.34 is remaining.
