Telangana government has released Rs. 75 crore for fee reimbursement and scholarship to minority students. Finance department issued orders in this connection on Tuesday. Government had earmarked Rs. 833796000 for June to November quarterly for the new scheme FAST, however the amount was not released due to finalisation of new regulations. Instead of fee reimbursement Telangana government had announced Financial Assistance to the Students of Telangana (FAST) scheme.
The schemes are implemented by Commissioner and Director Minority Welfare. Students have been facing a lot of problems due to delay in release of budget by the government.
