Srinagar, May 18: A sum of Rs 6.58 crore was distributed under the integrated social service scheme among 22,000 people by the Department of social welfare, Budgam in the previous financial year, state Minister for Science and Technology Aga Syed Ruhulla said today.
Similarly, a total of 11,748 elderly people were provided relief of Rs 3.80 crore under Indira Gandhi National old age pension scheme (IGNOPs), he said at a function organised by District Social Welfare Office in Budgam, 22 km from here.
He distributed cheques worth Rs 5.80 lakh among 58 widows belonging to Budgam constituency under National Family Benefit Schemes (NFBS).
